ISCR Conference 2025

Call for Submissions

Submissions Due April 30th, 2025

The third annual conference of the International Society for Contemplative Research (ISCR) will be held on the campus of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from November 3-6, 2025.

The ISCR 2025 is an international conference for rigorous interdisciplinary investigation of contemplative practices in diverse contexts. This year’s theme is: The Arc of Life and Death. The conference will feature pre-conference workshops, plenary sessions, contemplative practice periods, individual presentations, concurrent panels, and poster sessions focused on a diverse range of topics and best practices within contemplative research.

The ISCR academic association was formed to provide an organization in which like-minded contemplative scholars and researchers can find mutual support and serious interdisciplinary intellectual exchange. This new organization will host a biennial conference and develop new programs to support innovative research and interdisciplinary collaborations.

The conference is seeking contributions from all areas of contemplative research. Individuals can submit an abstract or proposal of no more than 300 words through our Submission System from March 10 through April 30, 2025. To read more about how to submit, and the guidelines for submission, visit the website here.
