The Journal of Contemplative Studies (JCS) is a peer-reviewed academic open access digital journal published by the Contemplative Sciences Center at the University of Virginia. The journal publishes original research and scholarship on issues and topics related to the world’s contemplative practice traditions. The focus of the journal is humanistic studies on contemplation, but we encourage interdisciplinary scholarship as long as there is a deep humanistic core.
