ContemplativeRxiv Pre- and Post-Print Service

The JCS Editors are delighted to announce the launch of our new pre- and post-print service, ContemplativeRxiv.

The preprint archive of the Journal of Contemplative Studies (JCS) aims to support a global community of scholars and promote innovations in Contemplative Studies. Pre- and post-print platforms such as ContemplativeRxiv enable authors to submit an article at any stage of the authoring process: before an article is submitted for peer-review, after an article has been peer-reviewed, or if an article will not be submitted for publication. We welcome articles that are not intended to be published within the JCS itself, though encourage prospective submissions to JCS to consider preprint posting in ContemplativeRxiv.

Advantages of a preprint are:

  • Receive rapid feedback from peers
  • Engage in dynamic conversations about your article
  • Receive citable DOIs
  • Make your content available and discoverable to the public quickly
  • Easily submit articles to the Journal of Contemplative Studies for peer-review

ContemplativeRxiv is designed to be a versatile and dynamic online forum. By posting an article before it is submitted to JCS for peer-review, authors have the advantage of receiving and responding to critical and constructive feedback from the scholarly community. This allows authors to improve their article before it undergoes formal peer-review, likely making an article more publishable. Additionally, with each contribution, the site will evolve into an archive of diverse works.

Success of ContemplativeRxiv depends on author submissions and lively discussion amongst participants in the global community of Contemplative Studies scholars. Register an account and join the conversation via the ContemplativeRxiv portal.
